Map out site and record site activity. Engage staff and encourage interaction with biodiversity.
Biodiversity objectives
Increase density and diversity of flowering plants
Specifically those with known biodiversity benefit for bees and butterflies. Plant across the site and add native species to the scrub land with the wildlife walk (making sure to retain its wildness). Diversity of plant species vital to increase diversity and abundance of invertebrates to feed into the food chain.

Increase number of refuges on the site
Increase/ add; bird boxes, bat boxes, bee hives, insect hotels, wood piles. Placing them on walls, the new site development, scrub land next to the site and of course the new vegetated areas. This could also include vole holes in the swale.

Wild areas
Ensure approx. 5,500m2 of the ACO Shefford site remains wild for nature.

Seed new stream bank/ channel
Increase density and diversity of plant species in stream. Maximizing its potential for biodiversity.
